PolyTech Coatings LLC began operations in Richmond, Virginia in 1998. After working a few years with other epoxy flooring companies in North Carolina and Delaware, Russ Chessor, saw first hand that a company specializing in concrete coatings could operate inefficiently, running high overhead and high warranty, and still be a success in our industry. That was a sad statement for the floor coating industry. Based on the idea that a floor coating company that operated efficiently and installed floors properly the first time would be a niche in industrial floor coatings, Russ Chessor started PolyTech Coatings LLC and with a small professional team, began serving industrial facilities in the Mid-Atlantic area. As our reputation for excellence spread, mostly by word of mouth from our loyal customers, we expanded to the states surrounding Virginia.

At PolyTech Coatings, our goal has been to manage each flooring installation efficiently to keep our costs low while always practicing "The Good Science" of floor coatings to ensure we achieve the best bond to we can by using state of the art equipment, high quality materials, and proven techniques. Quality in the floor coatings industry doesn't cost more, it costs less. By managing our installations to obtain maximum efficiency and still sweat the details to reduce call backs, and are able to be price competitive with other flooring and painting contractors while using superior materials and better application practices.
